Have any Costume Brawl skills changed drastically?
Simple question. I can think of only a few things that have changed, but I don't know if I have a compete list:
General: - In addition to skills being changed, some builds did not meet the attribute requirements for their weapons. Warrior: No changes. Ranger: - Antidote Signet removes an extra condition. - Pin Down has a lower recharge. - Troll Unguent lasts a little bit longer. Monk: - Signet of Judgement (PvP) has half range and does less damage than its PvE counterpart. Necromancer: - Strip Enchantment (and maybe Plague Touch?) now remove multiple enchantments (conditions). Mesmer: - Energy Surge remove more energy and deals less damage per point. - Ether Feast heals slightly more. - Energy Burn removes more energy and deals less damage. Elementalist: - Glowing Gaze grants energy differently. - Flame Djinn's Haste ends faster, takes longer to recharge, only boosts speed by 25%, and has a new mechanic. Assassin: - Shadowsteps have an aftercast. - Horns of the Ox has a smaller damage boost. Ritualist: - Ancestors' Rage (PvP) is now a 2-strike skill instead of a spike skill. - Splinter Weapon hits a limited number of enemies and deals less damage than its PvE counterpart. Paragon: - Blazing Spear costs one less adrenaline. Dervish: - Chilling Victory (PvP) is now Wind Prayers skill with 0 Wind Prayers. Last edited by Shayne Hawke; Sep 27, 2008 at 03:53 PM // 15:53.. |

I would be greatly disappointed in ANet if they did not re-open Costume Brawl again, and so, in my expectancy of them doing so, I want to know whether any of the builds have been altered so much that other ones would be a better choice than other, or whether a build has just become overly nerfed or buffed.

even if the "builds" were altered they would change them or reformat the builds for better usage. peretty muc h you'd just have to look at each build and see if any skils ahve ben changed. if not then you have nothing to be worried about.

Here is a link to the wiki page with the skill bars used last year. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Costume_Brawl
I don't know offhand if any have been changed in the last year, but I'm sure that ANet would adjust the bars to keep them fairly equal in power.

Looking at Darcy's link, here's the big one you missed - Chilling Victory is now Wind Prayers, which last year had 0 spec
Signet of Judgment got knocked to half range. Energy Surge's damage/edenial changed - used to be less energy for 12 damage each, now more energy at 9 damage each. Strip Enchantment takes off two, used to remove only one, can't remember when that changed, so maybe ignore this one. All in all, almost every bar has been affected and I'm sure the bars will be different this year if they do it - if it all has to be rebalanced, majik might be onto something. |

The reason I'm asking this is the same reason you're all repeating - skill changes have brought in some imbalances to the arena, and I want to bring those changes to ANet's attention so that they can fix them before the arena opens again.
Once I have a mostly full list, I'm probably going to make a "Re-Open/Balance Costume Brawl" thread in Sardelac. |

Make it a poll - yes or no to Costume Brawl - so no one has to count and you get more responses when they only have to check a box.
And start it now so ANet can start changing the skill bars.
